Hello,

I put it here just in case.

This week-end I added support for Windows to my copy of FriCAS [1], it is not a concurrent I insist, it's a parallel work in progress not destined to create a standalone package. And using the amazing work of Qian, here on workflows, I was able to build FriCAS with libjulia.dll dynamically loaded. His work, and others of course, helped me to build FriCAS on MSYS2/MinGW with support from Julia. It includes the ability to produce graphics without X. Personally I use WSL2 and do not extensively use graphics but in case of material incompatibility for example this could be of help to others. I hesitated to post a screenshot, not a big fan in a mailing list, but this is for Windows which uses, intensively, human/machine interface in a graphical manner. I think that could be of interest to pure Windows users. I will eventually produce a binary installer and release it on GitHub, I first need to look at license concerns. If I do it, I might eventually produce a Windows binary installer for the official FriCAS if there are some interest. On Windows this is the preferred way to install software.

So, for Windows users, take a look if you want graphics on Windows without X. The official, well supported, FriCAS is of course https://fricas.github.io/ with its GitHub repository: https://github.com/fricas/fricas

PS: hoping the screenshot is not too large...

X11 support is gradually being replaced by Wayland. The Wayland API
is not fully compatible so some of the graphics code will have to be rewritten.
