Hi Greg,

I cloned your jlfricas branch and tried to compile.

julia version 1.9.2

configure --enable-julia

seems to work fine, but make does not work.

Du you know why? Do you have clear build instructions (especially the
prerequisites) available?

I actually wanted to answer your other mail, but couldn't, because I do
not really understand what you want to achieve or what your actual
problem is.

Before I have no running jlfricas, I cannot reproduce your problems.

See the README file, particularly the Caveats part with SBCL. As of
now I do not know why there are bad memory Julia/SBCL interactions:
https://github.com/gvanuxem/fricas/blob/jlfricas/README.md

With Julia 1.9.2 you will have to use Clozure CL and take into
account, julia has to be in the PATH, it is used to set compile/link
parameters.

Hello,

You can a download personal debian package here:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1AMEcSfniVNyVYEQxVOBYXxexVvqrbQ7H/view?usp=drive_link

It is Julia-1.11.0-alpha2 for amd64 arch that seems to be compatible with SBCL.

And take into account that for Nemo, https://www.nemocas.org/, I am at
the beginning, things are experimental. And I first add data types
(Integer, IntegerMod etc.) with basic arithmetic. Only after I
populate them to reflect FriCAS exports for the corresponding type.

Here, sorry:

I am only able to use this tlink with a browser, not with 'wget' for example.

julia will be istalled in /usr/local instead of /usr to not pollute
/usr. Julia uses an initialization file located, here, in
/usr/local/etc/julia so I do not want to create a /usr/etc directory.
