Bio:

Tsyganskiy is responsible for overall cyber defense of Microsoft and to ensure their products and business operations make progress against the goals of our Secure Future Initiative. Tsyganskiy is a true security visionary with exceptional technological depth and brings a broad, outside perspective that is invaluable to Microsoft Security and their ability to rapidly innovate. 

Prior to his role at Microsoft, Tsyganskiy worked at Bridgewater Associates, a valued partner to Microsoft, and served as President and Chief Technology Officer since 2016. In his role, Igor held executive company-wide responsibility over all architecture, development, technology, infrastructure, and data centers. He ran development and operation of all investment and client-facing systems, corporate systems — such as core research investment, trading, and back-office systems — and led overall security architecture and design. He was also a Partner and a member of the firm's Executive Committee and Operating Committee. Prior to his work at Bridgewater, Tsyganskiy led Database.com, a division of Salesforce.com, and was the Principal Inventor and Co-Founder of Tealeaf Technologies. He also ran an advanced technology group at SAP, holds more than 20 patents in the areas of enterprise software, process automation, security, and is a Computerworld Smithsonian Award Laureate.
