ZUMIX is Hiring! ZUMIX is hiring a full-time Community Arts & Events Coordinator! We are seeking an enthusiastic, personable, and motivated self-starter to help us acheive our goals surrounding our Community Arts programming. This person will be responsible for increasing artistic opportunities for our youth, engaging new stakeholders, raising funds to support core programs, and increasing our community's access to artistic experiences and cultural connections.   The full job description is available here. Walk For Music - Join us! Sunday, April 27th, 11am Pep Rally at ZUMIX, 2pm Walk in the Back Bay Fens Join over 300 ZUMIX students, parents, teachers, and community members in the annual Walk for Music, a two-mile walk through Boston's Back Bay Fens, to keep music alive in our community!   We hope that you will walk with us, sponsor a youth, or organize a team to help us reach our goal of $40,000. Sign up here!   Community members are encouraged to join a neighborhood team (such as the Jeffries Point Team, Orient Heights Team, or Eagle Hill Team), or create your own team with all of your friends! The team that raises the most money will get a celebration party at ZUMIX!   Participants who raise $25 or more will get a FREE t-shirt. We encourage youth to set a goal of $100 or more, and adults to set a goal of $200 or more.   NEW this year: All participants and sponsors are invited to a celebration concert after the walk at the Hard Rock Cafe!   Questions? Streetwise XVI CD Release Party Thursday, March 20, 6-8pm Join us for our Streetwise XVI CD Release Party on Thursday, March 20th! Be among the first to hear brand new tracks written and recorded by participants in ZUMIX's Streetwise 2013 program. The entire album is mixed and produced by ZUMIX's Z-Tech Studio graduates.
