Thanks for showing interest in the Fresno State BJJ Club. Currently we
are not recognized Fresno State as an organization, however, we are
working on the paperwork to complete the requirements. We are still
looking for an advisor for the club. If you have any professor or full-
time faculty that is interested, please let us know by sending an
email. We already have enough students who have signed up to start the
club.

The club we be organized as a Sport Club. This will enable the club to
reserve or use Fresno State facilities, such as the wrestling room mat
where the BJJ course is held. We will be able to apply for club
funding to hold events or invite "guest speakers" for the club.

We are working out a deal with Royce Gracie of Fresno (Walmart
Shopping Center @ Shaw Ave , Clovis, CA) to give us a great group
discount for using their facility on Saturdays and an instructor. It
will range between $10-$20 per person per session. Also, everyone in
the club will receive a free week of instruction at RGJJ of Fresno.
Additionally, we are still looking for other sponsors or BJJ schools
to work with in the future.

If you have any questions, comments or ideas, please email us at
fresnos...@gmail.com.

Thanks,

Albert Aguilera

The two professors are going to be out of town for almost two weeks,
so it will take a little while before we hear back from them. The
concerns they mentioned were if they were financially responsible for
the group, and if they are responsible if someone is injured? Anyone
know the answers to these Q's?

They are not financially responsible for the club. They may donate,
like any other individual or organization, but it is not required.
Also, everyone will need to sign a waiver for Fresno State to
participate in official club activities. Thanks.
