Just listened to Point 2 Point

I listened to Episode 36 it's a monster wargame podcast (in length not
content). At the end, they discussed the future of wargaming.
Getting the younger crowd interested, evolve or die, big innovation is
cool but there's been a lot of small steps that make wargaming
special, all that.

I think wargames are coming along fine, I don't really have experience
with the old hex and counter games. Although I do own "Alexander"
which I haven't played. I just thought it was an interesting
discussion. I think games like Manoeuvre and C&C Ancients are a step
in the right direction for bringing in the younger crowd.

I love my mounted boards though and I think that's an area wargaming
can improve. Maybe I should just buy a plexiglass poster holder like
Mike :)

Yeah, with 3 wargame podcasts out there they stand head and sholders above ;)

 

Jason does a great interview and Scott is cool because you know what he likes and has passion about those games.

 

I think my favorite is the D6 Generation.  They're first and foremost miniatures gamers which I don't even play but they hit the boardgames too and their personalities all meld well.  It's really funny at times without being offensive which is extremely hard to do well.
