Karlen,
I'll be participating in the July meeting and discussing the book
"Everything is Miscellaneous" by David Weinberger who was the Internet
guru of the almost successful campaign of Howard Dean. The book is
about the new third order of knowledge which is a wholesale slaughter
of sacred cows
starting with the Dewey Decimal System and other pigeon hole notions.
The new third order is the freewheeling internet style which is
gaining academic mileage. The beauty of the book is the review of what
we thought constituted knowledge from the ancients onward.

Now I hope everyone at the meeting will not also choose this book and
if they do you will sort it out and remember I was first.

And, what are the other guys doing???

Frank

PS Is this getting distributed?

Karlen, Frank and all,

To continue this free flow of information I would like to talk about
the virtue in reading Collapse by Jared Diamond though if someone
else wanted to talk about it I could choose some other books as worth
reading or at least having.
