Hiking with Humanists

I am still planning to hike three miles on the C&O Canal towpath on
Sunday, the 30th, to the footbridge over the Potomac River to Harpers
Ferry WV. After exploring the historic village, I will return to the
starting point by foot. A uniformed C&O Canal Park interpreter will
join us at 9:30 am. If you want to join me, please phone before 9
pm. The hike starts at 9:30 in Weverton. Directions are easier to

Are you sure we are related?  You must have inherited some good genes, because there's no way I could hike 6 miles, much less at 9:30 AM. I'm too fat and lazy. Mostly as a side effect of my migraine meds. Have a good time!    : }>

Did a dry run last month...easy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Remember, I am on my feet all day.   And, I do all the yard work on my 1 1/2 acres!

I was pulling weeds last week and got bit up something fierce by bugs!! I didn't see anything or feel anything - except for the itchy rash that appeared 24 hours later. Calomine, cortizone, and benadryl anti-itch lotions had no effect. This was not my typical reaction to mosquito bites or poison ivy, so I went to the doctor to see what it was. He said "Have you been working out in the yard lately?" and gave me a steriod shot in the butt. Evidently my immune system overreacts to bugs that I never encountered growing up in MD. Going to spray the backyard tomorrow.
