Hi Fresh From the Farm Educators,

Two quick updates today:

1. High School Education
For those of you interested in bringing farm to school and sustainability education to high schoolers, attached you'll find a list that you can add on to. Feel free to share additional ideas with the group!

2. New Grower Training - FREE! Apply Now.
This is an announcement from Mary Hosier at the University of Illinois. If you are interested in this training, they are planning for the December 2013 class of new Illinois farmers!

Aspiring Illinois farmers, new growers with less than five years’ experience, commodity farmers interested in diversifying to include fruit or vegetable production, and high school and community college agriculture teachers are invited to apply now for the next session of a free training program offered through the University of Illinois crop sciences department.

Please share widely as we will soon be reviewing applications for year two.  Let me know if you have any questions.
