On Mac OS X Yosemite 10.10.2 a port install frescobaldi apparently succeeds but there is a dependency on python-ly which is not met.

I understand python-ly is now a separate package, but this makes the mac port install fail to complete. There appears to been mac ports version of python-ly.

What is the current status of this matter? As far as I can see, this breaks the mac ports installation of Frescobaldi as a simple one command install.

I cannot reproduce your problem.
python-ly is available in MacPorts and is listed as a dependency of
Frescobaldi.

Did you do a `sudo port selfupdate` just before installing Frescobaldi?
If not, please do it.

Can you please post the output of `port list py27-ly name:frescobaldi`
and `port installed py27-ly name:frescobaldi`?

Best wishes.
Davide
