Hi Guys,
my question is : how can I manage different unit of measure for the capacity calculation of different resources?
Supposing to have 2 main groups of machines:
- ultrasonic cut
-cut and fold
where the ultrasonic machines have the meter as unit of measure and
where cut and fold  machines have pieces as unit of measure,
how can I setup frepple to manage this kind of production?
Thnaks in advance for your help.
Rgds

Ciao Paolo,

All values in frePPLe are unit-less.

To model your scenario, you will need to do some math to set the time-per duration of the flow models correctly.

I.e. take into account the unit conversion explicitly when preparing the input data for frePPLe.

Correction: ... of the operation models.

Ciao Guys,
Thank a lot for your prompt reply ... Thus it means that to set the setup matrix I have to indicate each possible combination haven't I?

You will potentially have a lot of different operations, yes.
But the setup matrix isn't made any more complicated by that: different
operations can use the same setup, and you can also wildcards in defining
the changeovers.

FYI: the solver doesn't handle optimization of the changeovers yet.
Depending on the importance of changeovers in your plant, the quality of the
plan may be affected.
