Language Teachers / Assistants Wanted

The International School of Tucson wishes to hear from Teachers and
Teacher Assistants for possible future vacancies in its Pre-School and
Elementary School immersion classes. We seek French, German and
Spanish teachers, although teachers of other languages are also
encouraged to contact us.

We also seek Play Group and Weekend Immersion Workshop Leaders. Play
Groups are in essence “Mommy & Me” groups for children 6 – 36 months
which meet weekly for an hour, based around games, songs, rhymes,
music and movement. Days and times are negotiable. We are interested
in hearing from teachers of any language.

Immersion Workshops are held on weekends for children 3 – 14 years of
age for two hours; depending on the ages and levels, they range from
“language exposure” for beginners to literature-based sessions for
bilingual students who are weak in reading and writing. Days and times
are negotiable. We are interested in hearing from teachers of any
language.

Ideal candidates for all positions will have a degree (any subject), a
teaching credential (any level), four years’ relevant experience, be
native speakers and be able to work in Arizona and to pass a
background check; for full-time teaching positions, candidates will be
able and willing to offer an extra-curricular activity. Overseas
training and experience would be advantageous.
