Three second-graders at the International School of Tucson have
finished in the top ten in a 2010 national G1 - 3 French exam. Marius,
Liam and Ashley finished 7th, 8th and 10th in the country
respectively.

All Junior School French students enter the competition run annually
by the American Association of Teachers of French ("AATF"). Those who
do well in the first round (reading and writing) are invited back for
the second oral round. Aggregate scores then produce the rankings. IST
entered 8 students in this year’s competition.

"We are thrilled at our students' success," said Mr Robert Young, Head
of School. "This is the second year running we have had students
ranked in the top ten in America. Congratulations to the young people,
and to IST's French faculty."

The International School of Tucson (“IST”) offers an internationally-
grounded programme with a full-immersion Chinese, French, German and
Spanish Pre-School and a dual-immersion French-English, German-
English, Spanish-English Elementary programme.
