Hi,

I'm looking at options to start teaching my kindergartener French.
She's taking classes at Alliance Francaise, but that commute will not
be sustainable during the school session.

Any suggestion for the Noe valley / glen park / bernal heights and
surrounding neighborhood?

I came up with an elementary program through Lengua on Sanchez at
29th. Has anyone tried that? I'm surprised that it seems to not have
levels, so I don't understand how will kids progress.

Any other suggestion? Also, looking for suggestions for bringing a
French program into my daughter's school.

Many thanks!

Ioana

I can't help you with your neck of the woods, but I can tell you that I just sent out an announcement for after-school French classes here at the Garden House (in the Inner Richmond, 7th & Balboa), because I had so many people asking about getting them going on this side of town.  They will be on Mondays, from 4-5, and we're starting off the with the almost 5-7 year old crowd (so, primarily, pre-K, K, and 1st graders).  We're going to split them into levels if there's a range, and the ratio will be a maximum of 1 teacher per 7 kids.  It will be less expensive than classes at the Alliance, and our teacher is very experienced and qualified.  The kids will work on aural/oral as well as writing/reading skills, at an age-appropriate level.  Classes start after Labor Day, and there are already enough children signed up that I know the class will happen.

If anybody's interested, they can contact me directly at ka...@gardenhousesf.org .

If I think of anything or hear of anything on the Noe side of town, I'll let you know.
