I wanted to give a recap email of the upcoming service events we have in November and December because we have many great opportunities for you to participate in!

NEW | Los Altos Kiwanis Club Christmas Tree Lot

WHAT: Be a cashier or salesperson at the Los Altos Kiwanis Club Christmas Tree Lot! Proceeds from this event help fund community activities, like the Los Altos Pet Parade.

WHEN: Weekends from 11/26 Saturday to Sunday 12/18 at 8:45 AM - 1 PM OR 1 PM - 5 PM

WHERE: Lucky Supermarket Parking Lot (2175 Grant Rd, Los Altos, CA 94024)

NEW | Heritage Neighborhood Association Workday

WHAT: Help the Heritage Neighborhood Association with their Arches of Hope Initiative, where you will make light arches that beautify the Sunnyvale downtown area.

WHEN: 11/27 Sunday, 12:30 PM - 3 PM. (There are also more workdays on weekends until 12/10! Times TBA)

WHERE: Sunnyvale Downtown Neighborhood (Meeting place is 416 E. McKinley Ave, Sunnyvale CA 94086)

NEW | SVDSN Holiday Party

WHAT: Help the nonprofit Silicon Valley Down Syndrome Network at their fundraising party by distributing food, running an arts and crafts table, and manage other activities.

WHEN: 12/4 Sunday, 2:30 PM - 7 PM

WHERE: The Garden House at Shoup Park (400 University Ave, Los Altos, CA 94022)

Breakfast with Santa

WHAT: Help out at the Breakfast with Santa event by distributing food to guests, helping with craft stations, running the ticket booth, etc.

WHEN: 12/3 Saturday, 8 AM - 1 PM

WHERE: Sunnyvale Senior Center (550 E. Remington Drive, 94087)

FabMo Straighten & Reset Event

WHAT: Help FabMo, a textile recovery nonprofit, straighten materials displayed on tables and racks, and replenish goods. Some lifting and extended periods of standing will be required.

WHEN: 12/8 Thursday @ 5 PM-7:15 PM OR 12/10 Saturday @ 2:15 PM-4:30 PM

San Miguel Winterland

WHAT: Help out at San Miguel’s Winterland event by distributing food, run game stations, and help students with arts and crafts. All students will be fed a slice of pizza and a beverage, and will get breaks during their shift.

Please bring warm clothes, a water bottle, and comfortable shoes.

WHEN: 12/9 Friday, 4:30 PM - 8:30 PM

Fairwood Family Math Night

WHAT: Help families try out fun math games by explaining directions of your activity and answer questions. All volunteers will receive pizza and a bottle of water.
