But how come I havent heard anything about it? Has everyone else pissed off from this list to somewhere else? Has publicity gone out about it? Do you want input from people into the programme?

 

AND why do I keep getting silly messages from this list telling me I am a moderator and will I deal with some more silly spam?

I sent quite a few emails out to this address quite a while back. I didn't get a single reply. Hence I pursued other avenues of communication and dissemination for the conference.

I'm glad (in a way) that I'm not the only person who didn't know anything about this conference until I wrote and asked. If you want to keep communication going w a group, you have to let them know what is happening, don't you?

 

Anyway, I have scoured the website, as advised, and there is not a lot to go on, from my point of view. I very much want to attend, but I will have to cut short a visit to Manchester and so will not get there until lunchtime on Sat, at the earliest, and as I want to book train tickets early to get decent prices, some more details of the programme would be appreciated. And are you sure now that this will definitely be the date, and that it wont be postponed again?

 

I am in the middle of helping to launch an exciting initiative called Women's Studies Without Walls from the Feminist Library, and there might well be other members of the group who would like to come and present, but again, more details needed to encourage this. Also, we are not only academic, so hope this fits in.

Again, sorry about the lack of communication. Again, I do seem to recall sending out a mail to the group at an early stage. Maybe I'm wrong.
As for details, we have an organising committee meeting this week and, I'm sure, by the end of this week we will send out more details. However, I would stick up for our website and say there is quite a lot of detail there.
