Dear all,

I'm so sorry it's taken me this long to get back to you all.

If the appetite is there, we should keep our loose network going. I think, at a minimum, it's important for different groups to tell each other what they're doing and to share experiences and ideas, even from afar. This email group, Facebook page, and forum can facilitate that exchange.

I think it best, naturally, to open up a space for discussion about what, if anything, the network can or should be about, what it can achieve. Please offer any contributions you want to.
I thought of one idea. I wonder if anyone would be up for organising inter-university visits i.e. having people from the different universities visit each other. That might be good.

I've just created a Facebook page for the FUN group. Please join it. It's here...

Thanks all
Joel

Dear all,

Long time no speak. I hope you are all well.

Sarah Amsler (Lincoln Uni and Social Science Centre) and I have put together a call for a conference that we hope will be exciting and important. We've really tried to put together a concrete agenda with concrete aims.

Any feedback, comments most welcome. Please sign up, get involved with organisation, and spread the word far and wide.

FB page here...

Hope to see you all in November.

Solidarity,
Joel

Dear Joel,

Brilliant..  This is great – I will let my network know, and have put the dates in my calendar.

As part of Big Green Week in Bristol June 9-17 we held a small event "Bristol Free University Conference" – the link is to a short video on Dropbox.

My colleague Jan Klostermann wrote a business plan that I've mentioned to this list before, and wrote his Masters Thesis Personal Development of future employees at Tech University München, very muvh aligned with our ideas for making personal and community development central to a green university.

We are still on track to start with 20 or 30 students this fall, as our community Streets of Solar project is taking off –  business plan, videos: Hamilton HouseStreets of SolarBristol Solar City.

Best wishes and keep up the good work,

David
