Slow start

hi, at first launch, when no config files are found, FreetuxTV is very
slow, with lots of disk access.

The same when adding a group of tv channels.

Looks like it does lots of fsync?

At the first launch, freetuxtv synchronize it local database with the XML channels files. The database is sqlite and data are stored in a file. So many writing operation may be performed that's true.

Maybe this should be changed later, but this is the actual working process.

I simply wonder if there are not too many commits done, as sqlite can be
much faster than that?

I don't know, but maybe you are right, i think this can be more faster.

I will report an issue, and when i got some time i will look how to solve this problem.
