How was Turkey Day for y'all? I got a gift that cost me $100. :P

Meeting-wise, the title says it all. Topic-wise, we could discuss
Ask An Atheist, which I'd like to hold next week if possible. There's
always more poster ideas to toss around, like this one from Kelly:

"Akpa le tome gake menya tsi fe vevie nyenyeo.
[A fish immersed in water
does not know about water.
Ewe (African) proverb]

THINK OUTSIDE THE BOWL"

or this one from former club despot Keynan:

"Study one religion, and you'll be hooked for life.
Study two religions, AND YOU'RE DONE IN AN HOUR"

and as usual, I can't control myself:

"The book which is most likely to cause you to lose your faith is
THE BIBLE"

Ah, another great meeting! Topics ranged from examples of sexual
selection in human beings to yet more movie trivia. Alas, I was
windbagging a bit too much for my taste, but Dallas has earned a spot
in my book's Acknowledgments.

As for Serius Bizness, Keynan's poster got the nod and everyone
seemed OK with the pricing on coloured posters. Imagine can fire off
these things for cheaper than photocopying, and coloured paper is no
extra charge! I'll also look into firing off a few 11x17 versions,
since they're only 7 cents a pop.

One thing I forgot to bring up was a possible alliance with SSpeak,
"a student club at the University of Calgary that is devoted to
providing students in the Faculty of Science with the opportunity to
work on communication skills." Remember that ancient idea I had to
hold student-led talks, instead of debates? Teaming up with them would
help them attract new members, while giving us another outlet to vent
some hot air! I've already got a topic simmering (why evolution should
have been discovered by mathematicians), and I'm sure our resident
historians have enough material to string something together about the
origins of science.

So, worthwhile? Worth not whiling?
