So we have two people willing to provide backhaul both for the Main
St. and Commercial Dr. festivals respectively. There are no repeater
locations yet, but I figure once we set up the backhaul APs we'll be
able to approach opposing locations on the blocks to set up repeaters
for the day.
The Main St. location is one block up from the festival, so not ideal
in that way. The Commercial Dr. backhaul donator is on in a building
smack dab in the middle of the festival but facing to the alley, not
Commercial. He can however get power to his roof and set up a repeater
there, which is one of the good high-point line-of-sights for the
festival.

I've got a volunteer to work with me on the banners.

Who wants to help set up the locations with me? We'll probably need a
lot of CAT cable. I've got some really old, really crappy CAT 5.
Probably maxing out at about 20 ft. We may well need more for at least
one of the locations. We might also need a pole to get a better angle
so the APs can hit the repeaters.

Are we still doing this?

Take it easy.

Sounds doable but when?

Monday is going to work for the Commercial Dr. location. We might be
able to go and look at the Main St. location on that day, but probably
not do a test set up. With CoovaOM now up and running we could set it
up and leave it at least until the festival. With Coova set up we can
ensure that my friends' connections don't get overrun with downloads
traffic.
Monday works for you? What time exactly on Monday? I'll email the
exact addresses to anyone who's interested and works out a time with
us on here.

thanks
