Mugen is a free and open-source 2D fighting game engine that allows users to create and play their own fighting games. One of the most popular fan-made games based on Mugen is Hyper Dragon Ball Z, a game that features characters and stages from the Dragon Ball Z anime and manga series. Hyper Dragon Ball Z is developed by Team Z2, a group of talented spriters, coders, and animators who aim to create high-quality and faithful adaptations of the Dragon Ball Z characters.
One of the characters that Team Z2 has created is Gohan, the son of Goku and one of the main protagonists of the Dragon Ball Z series. Gohan has two versions in Hyper Dragon Ball Z: Teen Gohan and Adult Gohan. Teen Gohan is based on his appearance during the Cell Saga, where he achieved the Super Saiyan 2 transformation and defeated Cell. Adult Gohan is based on his appearance during the Buu Saga, where he unlocked his hidden potential and became Ultimate Gohan.
Both versions of Gohan have been released by Team Z2 as beta versions, which means they are still in development and may have some bugs or incomplete features. However, they are still playable and enjoyable, as they have many moves, combos, specials, and supers that showcase their power and personality. They also have unique interactions with other characters, such as intros, win poses, and dialogues.
If you want to download Mugen Gohan Z2, you will need to follow these steps:
- Download the official build of Hyper Dragon Ball Z from [here]. This will give you the basic game engine and some characters and stages.
- Download the beta versions of Teen Gohan and Adult Gohan from [here]. This will give you the files for the two versions of Gohan.
- Extract the files from both downloads and copy them to the Hyper Dragon Ball Z folder. Make sure to overwrite any existing files if prompted.
- Edit the select.def file in the data folder to add Teen Gohan and Adult Gohan to the character roster. You can use any text editor to do this. You will need to add their names under the [Characters] section, following the format of the other characters. For example, you can add these lines:
TeenGohanZ2/TeenGohanZ2.def AdultGohanZ2/AdultGohanZ2.def Save the select.def file and close it.
- Run HyperDBZ.exe to launch the game. You should be able to see Teen Gohan and Adult Gohan in the character selection screen. Enjoy!
