Program Overview

• Role: Open Knowledge Project Intern
• Format: Flexible, 100% remote (online)
• Timeframe: A 45-day commitment, beginning shortly after the final selection process.
• Opportunities Available: We are welcoming 140 interns to the program this summer.
• Language Focus: To ensure diverse representation, we have a maximum of 10 positions available for each  supported languages.
• Application Window: We would love to receive application by April 5, 2026.

During the program, interns will:

•     Learn to contribute to Wikidata, the world’s most powerful open knowledge graph.

•     Gain hands-on experience in digital archiving through Wikimedia Commons and Wikisource.

•     Develop research skills in public domain works

We believe this is a great opportunity for students and freshers to build real-world skills while contributing to platforms that make knowledge accessible in their native languages.
