[eKalappai] eKalappai v4.0.0-alpha.1 released

Dear All,

Thamizha team is happy to release eKalappai v4.0.0-alpha.1. This is the first release of the eKalappai python port.

Release Notes:

• Initial Release of Python Port
• Release created for testing
• Application in very early stage
• Windows only

The application can be downloaded from - https://github.com/thamizha/pykalappai/releases/tag/v4.0.0-alpha.1

Thanks Manikk for the release.

I will start testing tomorrow and log the issues if any.

Others also please start testing.  We also need more people to start working on the code.

So I suggest we organise a zoom meeting for coding/hacking ekalappai python version.

Shall we have this Saturday afternoon india time around 4 PM ?   (6:30 PM singapore/Malaysia time  & 8:30 PM my time inAustralia)

Vanakkam Manikk, Mohan and other contributors.

Its a great effort to port ekalappai to python. I am very happy about the progress so far.

Still its not yet ready for general release. Currently its unusable for general writing. Keyboards not yet stable.

We need to tweak and fix lot of stuff.

I am also getting into developing this new python version along with you all. Lets make it production ready soon.

Meanwhile since its python based, I am positive many developers will like to join the development. So lets organize a hacker day event dedicated to ekalappai (Python) hacking.  May be this week or next week.
