There is a ride at 4.30 pm Monday 13/3/2017 organised by Cycle to commemorate the life of a bicycle rider killed a couple of days ago in Yarraville by a heavy vehicle turning at an intersection adjacent to Yarraville Gardens.
Place: Yarraville Gardens, Yarraville. (cnr Whitehall St/Somerville St, Yarraville)
Time: 4.30 pm Monday 13/3/2017
Apart from paying respect to a fellow bicycle rider killed on the road and highlighting the lack of bicycle infrastructure, this event would be an opportunity to distribute leaflets and other paraphernalia to promote Freestyle Cyclists Ride on 18/3/2017 and Freestyle Cyclists in general.
The demographics of those attending this memorial ride at Yarraville Gardens would most likely share Freestyle Cyclists goal in promoting utilitarian bicycle riding and the provision of separated bicycle bike paths & other bicycle infrastructure to improve safety for all bicyclists.
