Nima: what's the status of the global call? I know you're leaving for Haiti so want to check on this. I'm sure this team would like to be on as well so can you please keep us looped on dates?

Hey y'all. I contacted a few of the people, I have not decided on a date, but the intention of the first contact was to make sure everyone is down, which they are so far. Thus far the plan is for late Jan. 

I am not expecting anybody's full attention regarding this until the new year however. I will have access to internet where I am going so I should be able to maintain comms. 

I vote to postpone, everybody seems busy today. 

If you want to call me, Ilana, that is fine.

BTW did anyone else get an email from Brian Forde about the Safety Datapalooza? It is another White House event, in Jan. Do we ever use data for public safety purposes, disaster relief, and/or occupational and consumer safety? That is what the meetup is regarding.

ALSO i think we should do a freespace 2.0 planning meeting in early jan for a new space.

i will set up a fb event and invite y'all. please invite others who have expressed interest in being part of the new space and in planning, volunteering, etc.

and FYI there is nothing signed yet so we don't have the spot on market, yet. i've had a few people congratulate me on getting our "new space on 6th and market" but...we don't have it yet so please just be careful with how you talk to people about what we've got going on.
