Updates to Freespace Website

Hi All - 

We're working on gearing up for [ Freespace 3.0 v 2014 ] and are doing a bit of a Website refresh, largely based on Norna's feedback that she submitted in October.

We've got a google doc going for this site refresh project with some todo's in there and would love more peeps on this.

Here are the 3 requests so far :

1. Header Image

I'd like a better lead image for the very top of the site. Better means less visual noise in the background so the text can be read ontop of the image. 

Can someone send me an updated image? This image will be used on Freespace Global sites as well. I'd like to try a size of about 50 px wider than the current image (which is 1024 px wide : http://freespace.wpigniter.org/files/2013/07/background-1024x434.jpg)

2. Press 

I'd like to use Pinterest for our Press page: http://www.pinterest.com/arrowrootmedia/freespace-press/ - it's more social, laid out nicely, and easy to collaborate on. 

I'd like for us to add missing press items. If you'd like to work on the Freespace Press Section, let me, Jessy Kate, or Ilana know and we'll add you to the Pinterest board.

3. Collaborate 

Other requests - again, we've got a google doc going, so if you have suggestions, let me know and I'll add you to the doc. 

Would love to have more hands and input on this. As has been the case with everything Freespace, if you'd like to see something happen on the site, make it so. We'll help :-) 

Our timeline for all updates to go live is Thursday January 9th for our meeting, and then January 10th to the public.
