The second largest sports festival in the world, after Olympics,
Commonwealth Games has been an initiative to spread bonhomie and
increase goodwill amongst the member nations. They are played in the
friendly spirit and values like human rights, liberty, free trade, and
world peace are highly important. Currently there are 54 members of
the Commonwealth of Nations and this event takes place every 4 years,
the very first being held in Hamilton, Canada (in the year 1930)

The Commonwealth Games held in Delhi amazed everyone with its highly
beautiful and electrifying closing ceremony. There were laser shows,
cultural performances, military bands and traditional martial arts.
Spectators witnessed a perfect blend of artistic elegance, tradition
and modernity. The highlight of the event, however, was the fact that
it was for the first time that this event was held in India.
