Re-install Outlook (or whatever you use for mail);
re-create the FreeServe accounts using details you saved before swapping
disks;
restore old mail files from backups you regularly take of your system;
voila!

That would depend if you can post the error messages you're getting.

Mike.

have you reset up your email settings fully and correctly and also your
dialup settings?
How did you send this email?

gwk this is NOT an E-mail it is a post to a newsgroup and is handled
differently from an E-mail.

skinny kin the fact that you can log on to the net and send posts to
newsgroups suggests that there is something wrong in your set-up for mail.
Check tools>accounts>mail>servers
your incoming mail should be pop.freeserve.com (or pop.freeserve.net) either
work
your outgoing should be smtp.freeserve.com (or smtp.freeserve.net)
In the past posts have appeared where these have been changed by anti virus
software.
Hope this helps

Perhaps it's because he's using sk...@freeserve.co.uk, which might not
resolve, so freeserves mail server isn't accepting his mails.
