Brenden:


-Not as productive as hoped due to midterms

-Made changes to test framework, and how it works with temporary folders.

-Pytest can use tmpdir to create temporary folders and delete them automatically: incorporated these into test framework.

-Next week: Finish current pull request, then work towards a standardized way of handling errors and authentication.


Faraz:


-Bunch of midterms

-Finished Recording UI Update

-Experimented with button shades and modes.

-Moved auto-record feature to options menu

-Added shortcut for auto-record

-Auto-record now has “leave” button, which is bound with the Auto-Record shortkey.

-Added screenshots and mockups to project proposal

-Next Week: Work on Issue 153, Notification system for users in GUI.

-Next week: Make “Prepare to Record” button more prominent.


Francisco:


-Cleaned up refactoring pull requests after feedback from Michael Tom-Wing

-Studied current server/HTTP code?

-Changing plugin manager from Yapsy to Freeseer/Config classes

-Next Week: Midterms. Rest API config document. Get Plugins pull request merged.


Kaiyuan:


-Changed code for two pull requests. Ready to merge.

-Attempted to determine whether it’s possible to create new plugin for Windows desktop audio capture?

-Progress can be seen in issue 633. No usable plugin so far.

-Next week: More research into Windows audio capture. If impossible, do some bug fixing (617).


Stephen:


-Midterms!

-Worked on Friday and Saturday, refactoring Database.py, new functions.

-”Broke” big test module into 2 pieces.

-Learned about decorators in Python

-Next Week: Get PR 519 closed (database).

-Next Week: Pytest thing that finds functions that still need to be tested?

-Next Week: Work with Francisco on plugin framework module.


Ben:


- Finished PR #605

- Studied ConfigToolWidget and a bit about how layouts and resizing works in Qt.

- Opened Issue 630 and PR 631, to create tests for changes to the TalkEditor

- Studied PyTest and UnitTest

- Updated Project Proposal to reflect slight change in plans

Next week: Work on PR 631, learn more about PyTest and unit testing.


Notes from Dennis:


-Midterm evaluations will be completed in the coming week.
-If we know ahead of time that we will be less productive on a certain week, note it in our project proposal.

Next week’s meeting will be run by Kaiyuan.


After that, the cycle will begin again: Stephen, Francisco, Faraz, Brenden, Ben, Kaiyuan.
