Hello students,

Here are some proposed time for the Google Hang out weekly meetings. I've made a list of times for North America and International please mark your availability on the doodle page.
Please do so no later than January 22, 2013. And please try starting or joining a google hang-out before the meeting(Just to make sure it works).

*PS Please select your own time zone on doodle if you need to.

Well alright gals and guys,

I believe that this is an "example" week schedule that we'll repeat
during semester ?

I checked the most likely timeslots for me on eastern time (GST-5) on a
regular weekly basis. I'm mostly busy socializing on
thursday/friday/saturday nights.. music and faculty student parties,
friends and family...
I dont have anything planned on tuesdays, thursdays and fridays as I
currenly have TWO projects courses! Feel encouraged to
phone-call/IM/email/irc/hangout anythime during daytime on those days
for
collaboration/headsups/questions/sip/voip/dsp/network/dj/hardcoreteknomayhem...

For people wanting to "google hangout" or instant message me the best is
to contact me using standard xmpp protocol, on gtalk service using my
gmail account at oli...@gmail.com. I use this xmpp thing on multiple
devices/technologies right now. Pidgin, yaxim, beem, gtalk, all good
software implementations of xmpp.

If you guys passes around mtl or sherbrooke, drop me a line for a beer!
don't miss next edition of NorthSec in april! register your team at
www.nsec.io

Hi team International,
I think the proposed time slots in the morning are somewhat hard for the European students (5:30am for Finland and 4:30am for Poland)...

Hi All,

Everyone had plenty of warning and opportunity to participate in the doodle poll. We need to wrap this up.

It looks like Wednesday evening 18:30 EST is a good time for the North American call.

And Sunday 8am EST is the preferred time for the international call.

In both cases, everyone who responded could make it. Unless there are many strong objections in the next 24 hours, we'll go with those timeslots.

Hi All,

I think Andrew mean 9:00 PM - 9:30 PM or 9:30 - 10:00 PM for The North American call.

And Sunday 11:00 AM - 11:30 AM for the International call.

Joseph.

Hi Joseph, Everyone

You're right. Sorry for causing confusion. I didn't notice on my phone it was using another timezone.

The times are:
  • 9:00 PM - 9:30 PM EST for North American
  • 11:00 AM - 11:30 AM for international

Hi Lloyd, Everyone

The meetings will take place in Google Hangout. If you use gmail (which I see you do Lloyd), it'll include the link in the calendar appointment.

If you don't already have one, you'll need a Google plus account.

Incidentally, if you add us mentors (on twitter, G+, facebook, linkedin), you can follow what we're up to. We'll add you back also.

Invitations for both the North America and Eurasia meetings have been sent out. Like Joseph said, the calendar event will contain a link to the hangout, but we will also post the link on IRC right before the meeting starts. Please create a G+ account if you haven't already.

We will start next week.

The meeting will be on google hang-out, we will have a link to the hang out once the invitation is created.

You will need to have a google account for it.
