Hey everyone,

Just wanted to clear something up about the midterm and final review in hopes of making the evaluation process more transparent.

At the top of your feedback you'll see the name of a mentor or couple of mentors. This does not mean only that mentor evaluated you. All mentors evaluate you and your suggested grade is the average.

The name(s) at the top of your feedback is our best judgement for which mentors have mostly been mentoring you so far. We do this so that we know who is most knowledgeable about the student's progress.

So to recap: the mentor name(s) at the top of your feedback are not the mentors who decide your suggested grade, that's decided by every mentor and averaged.

P.S. As a reminder, we only give a recommended grade. Your faculty decides what your final grade is with the help of our recommendation.

P.P.S. As far as we know (unless UCOSP has changed things), your midterm grade isn't a recorded grade. Only your final grade is recorded. Your midterm grade is just an indication of how we think you've been performing so far (e.g. weekly progress, improvement since start of term, communication, etc.).
