Freeseer Minutes: November 23rd

Brenden

-Posted first pass of development document on Rest API. Just needs to be formatted and located.
-Made a few code changes on open pull requests, mostly small format changes
-Working on a way for Freeseer client to discover different servers.

Faraz:

-Was planning on initially finishing quality/bit rate.
-2 bugs with log module.
-Collaborated with Francisco to fix another bug in Windows
-Addressed some UI bugs
-Merged some pull requests.
-Next week: Quality/bitrate. Will research GStreamer

Francisco:

-Looked at issues related to default values of source plugins.
-Opened up pull request to fix OS-dependent code involving plugins.
-Worked on 2 open pull requests, for profile and configuration classes
-Work on Configuration API, completed most endpoints. still blocked on two endpoints.
-This week, will communicate with Michael or other mentors to get feedback on

Config API work.

Kaiyuan:

-Finally solved mixing problem
-Main features generally finished, but must make some changes to talk editor.
-Small fix to RTMP plugin for Windows
-Will continue to work on coding for talkeditor.

Stephen:

-Started to work on config tool. Add good unit tests to make sure it's tested

properly.
-Finished PR feedback for plugin manager, got it merged.
-Read about QSignalSpy, but unfortunately it is not supported by PyQt.
-Implemented tests to simulate user interaction with config tool.
-Got caught on plugin settings page tests. Spent time building tree-traversing tool
-Next week: Refactor config tool tests, address feedback on various PRs.

Benjamin:

-Cleaned up refactoring of Talk Editor
-Started writing some tests for Talk Editor
-Will continue researching and writing unit tests this week
-Will update project proposal to reflect what I have actually done

Note from mentors: Recommended mark is due by December 12th. The official final day of the course corresponds with our respective final days of class, beyond which it is no longer compulsory that we work on Freeseer, although we are welcome to continue contributing in our free time.
