To help you prepare for the exam, we offer different types of practice, including practice questions and a mock exam, with our Learning Ecosystem. As you work your way through the curriculum, we recommend pausing to answer practice questions, assessing your level of confidence and accuracy along the way. Then, in advance of the exam, take a mock exam, which mimics the exam-day experience as closely as possible.
After taking the adaptive placement test to determine the most critical areas for you to focus your studies, use the practice questions within each topic to confirm your understanding based on the study session.
Practice questions are based on lessons in the curriculum to help you evaluate your topic-level strengths and weaknesses. All questions are rooted in the current curriculum, and they are in the same format as the questions on the actual exam level you are registered for. You will receive in-time feedback on your answers, including detailed explanations for the correct answer.
Mock exams are designed to replicate the timing and structure of the exam. Mock exams, also known as question banks, are posted in the Learning Ecosystem about two months before the date of your exam.
In terms of structure, each mock exam consists of the same topic area weights and level of difficulty as the actual exam. Questions are based on the current curriculum for the exam level you registered for, and they are in the same format as the questions on the actual exam.
Exam Sim uses the same time limits and built-in breaks that CFA Institute uses on the exam; however, you do not need to follow these constraints. These serve as a guideline to you in order to replicate the exam as closely as possible. When the timer hits zero, you can continue completing the mock exam without a time constraint.
Answering Functionality
Answer, skip, flag, and filter questions exactly like the actual exam. This type of practice helps improve efficiency in completing the exam under the time constraints set on exam day. You must answer all questions on the mock exam in order to complete each section. Once you complete both sections of the mock exam, view the detailed results report using our Exam Tutorial.

You may cancel your scheduled In-Person Mock Exam at any time, however this would incur a $50 cancellation fee from Prometric. If you wish to request a refund from Kaplan Schweser, you may do so per the standard Return Policy.

The HSK sample tests help students prepare for the actual HSK tests at all levels. They will help you understand how the tests are structured and formatted. The more questions that you practice answering and the more that you familiarize yourself with the exam format and structure, the more likely that you will pass the real HSK test.
For those who just took the Level 1 exam, how did it compare to your mock exams? I am Mainly talking about the Stalla and CFAI mock exams. I just wanted to get a good idea of what I need to be scoring on my mock exams by November to feel confident about the real exam. Thanks for any input and grats to those that passed!
The Boston SAS mock exam was really good IMO. Also, I realized while I was writing the exam that a lot of questions I had already seen on the Schweser QBank. Mind you, I did almost 2,500 practice questions from the QBank alone. Hence, I felt pretty comfortable in both AM and PM. I finished with 1 hr and 20 mins remaining in the AM and about an hour left in the PM. Edit: to answer the original question - I scored 68% in the AM CFAI mock, 72% in PM. Scored 72% in BSAS AM and 73% in BSAS PM. And I passed with 7 sections >70, Econ 51-70 and AI & Der
I scored only 64% in the CFAI mock a week before and was pretty worried. On the real exam I scored above 70% in all areas except quants and AI. Either the real exam was easier or I improved a hell of a lot in that last week.
Agreed CFAI mock exams were a very good representation of what the real exam would be. I scored high 70s I think on the mocks. I used Schweser not Stalla, and their mock exams were retarded and much longer, more numbery questions than the actual exam. Though still if you score over 75, on the mocks you will understand most of the material to pass.
I got 62% in the Mock AM, and 70% in the PM. Passed with 70+ in all sections except Corp Finanace and PM The mocks were extremely useful as I used their results (weaknesses in FRA and Deriv/AI) to hone up on them
wow, i had to leave town for a few days after i made this post but thanks for all the great and helpful comments! Did any of you do the practice exams that are in stalla passmaster where you just select how far you are in your study schedule and then if gives you the amount of questions you will be tested on each subject and the correct amount of time you will have for those on the real exam? If so, how did those compare? Are they just as good as mocks or are they kind of just there to get you used to answering questions? For example I just took one that covered Ethics, Quantitative methods, and econ. I scored an A on ethics, A on quant 1, B on quant 2, and a B on all of econ. I just wanted to know if that is sufficiently showing me how i am learning the material or if i should be scoring 100s on these things. Thanks again guys!
