THURSDAY 12th of June: CZECH STREET PARTY

The Permanent Representation of the Czech Republic to the EU announces
the 2nd Czech Street Party in Brussels. Rock concerts, speciality
presentations and other activities take place on Rue Caroly in front
of the Czech house, near the European Parliament.

The programme will include performances of different Czech rock and
other bands. The main concert starts at 20:30 with the gipsy hiphop
band Gipsy.cz. Other groups include the rock band Yellow and Mandrage
(band of the year 2007, 3times nominations for Best New Artist of the
Year), jazz bigband Lab Band and a well known drummer Pavel Fajt (with
many US and European festival concerts).

This event will be organised together with all czech regional
representations in Brussels and Czech companies located in Brussels.
They will present their specialities, a number of Czech beer and wine
brands.

Entry to this event and all refreshment is free of charge.

Main guest of this Street Party – the rising star Gipsy.cz - has
already had successfull concerts around all Europe (Paris, Amsterdam,
Lisbon, Ljubljana, ...) and performed for the Portuguese Presidency as
well as the European Commission. With roots firmly in Hip Hop, Gipsy
developed a new vision for Romano Hip Hop, Rap, pop and R´n´B´. It
recruited the best Czech gipsy musicians and created a new explosive
mixture. You can expect more modern approach to gipsy songs as well as
a lot of energy and provocation.

This year’s Czech Street Party stands on the last successfull first
year which was organised together with the Grand Opening of the Czech
House 2007 on 10th October 207 with several thousand of visitors.
