Im translating it... i have but a few questions regarding abbreviations as far as lots of them have multiple medical meanings...How can I get the right one?

is there any document that explains the abbreviations?

It's been a long time waiting, It's been a long time since our last
stable version.
But we're getting closer to a release of 0.9 each day!
 
Now we need YOU! We need you to help us localize FreeMED
appropriately.
First step will be translations.
 
Here is a message from our main developer Jeff:

Right now there is no "master document" with those explanations. I
suggest that you pose any questions to the list, and Phil or I will do
our best to help you out. (And it has the added benefit of helping
other translations at the same time.)

aright, for example.. what does DOS stand for? I guess it's the day of
surgery, but here's the whole list of medical meanings

This is exactly what i wanted to propose.
As all the old explanations have been on the german server that has been
hacked, they are unfortunately lost :-(
