I'm interested in performing the spanish translation of FreeMed.
I'm currently in the work of configuring a virtual machine and
understanding the software for this task.
Any tips of guides will be appreciated.
I am not a doctor but all my family are doctors. My father, my
brother, my aunts and uncles. So I'm the software engineer in the
family.

Hi,
Thank you for your interest in FreeMED.
We would be very grateful for your help with translation.
As you may know, the present functional version of FreeMED has been translated into the Spanish of Spain, Mexico and Chile.  Have you seen these translations?
They can be viewed at http://demo.freemedsoftware.org
Read the "Information regarding this site".  Then choose your language and log in.
If you are interested in helping us with the development version of FreeMED, this can be done quite easily. We are interested in assisting you since the context of medical phrases may not be be apparent unless they are explained.
Go to http://translate.freemedsoftware.org.
Register for an account.
Click on "All Projects"
Then click on "FreeMED version 0.9 (Development Version)"  if you want
to translate the latest version which has not yet been completed. (It would be very helpful to have the Spanish translation available when the new version is released).
Then click on Spanish.
Click on template.po
Go the first phrase that  has not been  translated.
Click on the corresponding line directly below the word "Translation".
This should make the word "Edit" appear to the right of the line.
Click on "Edit" and then translate the phrase.
Translate all the phrases in the same manner.
A number of explanations for these phrases can be found at
http://euboard.freemedsoftware.org/index.php?option=com_fireboard&Itemid=2&func=showcat&catid=12
Write us if you need explanations of the phrases which are not explained in the site mentioned above.  Also notify us if some aspect of this process does not seem to work properly.
We look forward to working with you.
Cordially,
Volker

Hi.
I've tried to log on the translate site but I only get this:

Proxy Error

The proxy server received an invalid response from an upstream server.
The proxy server could not handle the request GET /.

Reason: Error reading from remote server

So I havent been able to follow your directions. Is there something wrong with that site?
