Feature request -- fewer warning messages!

I think freemat (already exquisite) would be more user-friendly
without messages of the following form:

"Warning: Newly defined variable Delta shadows a function of the same
name. Use clear Delta to recover access to the function"

(Apparently my idea of what makes a good variable name is not very
original. And Delta is not the only problem: gamma, phi, and many more
also trigger complaints from the interpreter.)

Could such messages be silenced by default in the next release? Thanks!
