Are there any plans to release FreeMat for Mac OS X as a macport
release?
http://www.macports.org/

It looks like a very efficient way of distributing software under OSX
and the updates are very very easy to make for the users (something
like apt-get).

Octave already has a release as a macport, so it's very easy for the
users to always have the latest version.

Also Macports seem to have the concept of "uninstall", something that
under OS X itself doesn't exist.

Even more, at least for the Mac, Macports could be used for
development, so that it looks itself for the required dependencies
FreeMat would need in order to be built (similar to Maven for Java).

Thanks.
