Hello,

If you downloaded the executable for FreeMat 4.1 for Windows, you should download an updated version that I just posted. I don't think this affects any other versions.

Right before the release I fixed the "one last issue"(tm) and didn't re-run the full test since it "shouldn't affect anything else"(tm). Unfortunately, I broke gamma function evaluation.

My apologies to the 648 people who already downloaded the windows release (18% of whom are from Thailand according to sourceforge).

Btw, the new version is built with gcc 4.6, rather than gcc 4.5.

I recently installed FM4.1.1 for windows and I got the message that
QtCored4.dll is missing on start.

It is the debug version of the DLL!

Eugene,

FM is running now.

I had run it only once today and noticed a significant slow down of my
computer. I could not identify the cause but I think FM was not
responsible. But I will check.

Hi,

When I try to run a simple 'console mode' test in Windows XP:

echo a=1;save a.dat a > test.m
FreeMat -nogui -nogreet -f test

I get the attached window and nothing saved to a.dat .

Regards,

/Ingemar

I'm having some serious trouble with the JIT compiler - unless I turn it off, a good number of my routines are crashing the whole program. With it off, some of the routines are indeed several times slower than 4.0 with JIT turned off.

Could you please post / send me scripts that cause problems? It would help debugging.

Thank you,
Eugene
