Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and experienced VMAX/NetApp Storage Administrator/Engineer to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design, implementation, and management of our storage infrastructure, including EMC VMAX and NetApp storage solutions. Your expertise will be instrumental in ensuring data availability, performance, and scalability.
Key Responsibilities: Design, deploy, configure, and maintain EMC VMAX and NetApp storage solutions. Provision and allocate storage resources for servers, applications, and databases. Monitor and optimize storage performance, capacity utilization, and data redundancy. Troubleshoot and resolve storage-related issues and performance bottlenecks. Implement and manage data protection, backup, and disaster recovery solutions. Collaborate with other IT teams to gather storage requirements and provide solutions. Implement and maintain storage security policies and access controls. Automate routine storage management tasks to improve efficiency. Document storage configurations, procedures, and best practices. Provide on-call support and participate in incident response and problem resolution. Stay current with storage technologies and industry trends to recommend improvements.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or related field (or equivalent experience). EMC Proven Professional or NetApp Certified Data Administrator (NCDA) certification is preferred. Proven experience in VMAX and NetApp storage administration and troubleshooting. Strong knowledge of storage technologies, including SAN and NAS protocols. Familiarity with data deduplication, compression, and thin provisioning techniques. Proficiency in scripting and automation for storage tasks (e.g., PowerShell, Python). Experience with backup and disaster recovery solutions, such as Veeam or Commvault. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. Ability to work effectively in a team and independently. Experience with cloud storage and hybrid cloud environments is a plus.
