We need innovations to tackle climate disaster, environmental destruction, species extinction, population explosion, erosion of democracy and social justice... (all created by our earlier innovations) for which we need a renewed sense of our identity (that we are not separate from Nature) without which our innovations will only create new or similar problems down the time.
பருவ நிலைப் பேரழிவு, சுற்றுப் புற சூழல் குலைவு, உயிரினங்களின் மறைவு, மக்கள் தொகைப் பெருக்கம், மக்களாட்சி, சமூகநீதி அரிப்பு... (இவை அனைத்தும் நம்முடைய முந்தைய தீர்வுகளால் ஏற்பட்டவை) எனப் பல முகங்களில் நாம் புதிய தீர்வுகளைக் கண்டு, சோதனை செய்து, நடைமுறைப் படுத்த வேண்டியுள்ளது. அதற்கு நமக்கு நம்மைப் பற்றிய புதிய அடையாளம், அதாவது நாம் இயற்கைக்கு அந்நியமல்லர் என்ற அடையாளத்தை நன்கு தெளிவாக உணர வேண்டும். அப்படி இல்லை எனில் நம்முடைய புதிய தீர்வுகள் அனைத்தும் இப்போதுள்ளவை போன்ற அல்லது புதிய சிக்கல்கள், நெருக்கடிகள், அழிவுகளுக்கே நம்மை இட்டுச் செல்லும்.

Innovations are not value-neutral; what we innovate/create depends on what we VALUE.
தீர்வுகளும் ஆக்க வினைகளும் நம் விழுமியங்களுக்கு அப்பாற்பட்டவை அல்ல. நாம் எவற்றை நல்வாழ்வின் விழுமியங்களாகப் பின்பற்றுகின்றோமோ அவற்றைப் பொறுத்தே நம் தீர்வுகளும் ஆக்கங்களும் அமையும்.
தீர்வுகளும் ஆக்க வினைகளும் நம் விழுமியங்களுக்கு அப்பாற்பட்டவை அல்ல. நாம் எவற்றை நல்வாழ்வின் விழுமியங்களாகப் பின்பற்றுகின்றோமோ அவற்றைப் பொறுத்தே நம் தீர்வுகளும் ஆக்கங்களும் அமையும்.
