Sooner than I expected, Freehub is now running on Rails 2.3.5. I have
been working in a branch called 'rails_upgrade' that is on github and
have not yet merged these changes into master. I am not going to do
that until I have the EngineYard servers that host
freehub.bikekitchen.org updated and confirm that all is good there.

I've updated and vendored all the dependent gems. I am going to next
go through the plugins and apply updates where they are available and
compatible with their current use in Freehub. I don't expect that will
have much/any effect on you. The only major changes for this upgrade
were switching to the built in Rails time zone support which was a bit
of a pain.

So Tony and JP - I suggest you switch to the rails_upgrade branch (git
pull && git checkout rails_upgrade). You'll be working with the latest
and greatest so docs you read should be current, plugins and gems you
find should work.

I'll let you know when these changes are merged into master.

Alon
