Events at the Free Hetherington this week

Hello supporters of the occupation. As usual we have a wide variety of
events coming up over the next few days, including:

MAYDAY GLASGOW: Carnival Against Cuts. The 2011 march will set off
from
George Square on Sunday 1st May at 11.30 am and rally in the Old
Fruitmarket, Merchant City.

The Carnival Against the Cuts will set off from the Fruitmarket at 1pm
for
a tour of some of the tax-dodging companies in the city centre, while
a
street party kicks off in the pedestrian precinct on Argyle Street at
2pm.

THURSDAY, 28TH APRIL

2pm: The Myths and Menace of Monarchy. In the midst of the fuss being
made
over the royal wedding, Adam Tompkins, Professor of Public Law at the
University of Glasgow gives the constitutional case for a republic.

8pm: Good Sex, Good Consent. A workshop on sex and what makes people
feel
comfortable. About saying no and saying yes. most of all about having
a
good time. It will be a variation in format to the last workshop of
the
same name.

SATURDAY 30TH APRIL

3pm: General occupation meeting.
7.30pm: Fundraiser in support of Glasgow's autonomous spaces. Music
from
Elemental Sound System, Lee from Camera Obscura (DJ set), WTW + more
acts
tbc. £5/£4 concessions, free for asylum seekers.

SUNDAY 1ST APRIL (See top for Mayday march and rally.)

7pm: The Take. Film about Argentine workers who collectivized their
workplaces in 2002.

We hope to see you at one or more of these events in the next few
