Hello All,

I'm emailing to follow up on a series of conversations regarding the
materials from the Hetherington occupation which are currently being
stored in a Glasgow University lock-up.
My colleague, Emilia Muller-Ginorio, spoke with people at the
Hetherington's 'post occupation' meeting who felt there was a sense of
urgency in removing the material from University property.
Emilia and I also met Rory Harron last week, who had previously
consulted with people from the Hetherington about moving the materials
from the lock up to a forming collection called Spirit of Revolt. They
are pulling together a lot of historical Glasgow based activist
material, are in the process of getting a space and would like to
house some of the collection when they do.

In the mean time, Jonathan Anderson has a space in his flat on West
Princes Street which is used for workshops and discussions around
libraries, archives, publishing and distribution. He has confirmed
this space could temporarily house the material so it can be looked at
and sorted through before it moves on elsewhere. This would be a great
chance for people to create a dialogue and work through the material
together, possibly in informal workshop form.

Rory is ready to help move the material in the next week, Jonathan's
flat is a secure space, and it will be used for other library and
archive related projects so there is a sense of it being a common
space for many people to use.

We wanted to notify everyone in advance that we've come to this
conclusion so we can see what people think. Let us know if you have
any objections to the removal of the material from the lockup to
Jonathan's flat, and also if you have any ideas of ways to engage with
the material.

Look forward to hearing from you,

Liam Casey
