Once again, attempting to generate some discussion...

Here are some of my favorite "highway songs," music that eats up the
miles crossing Nevada or southern Wyoming, or... My apologies if we've
done this before on Malcolm's earlier forum.

The Other Kind-Steve Earle
Copperhead Road-Steve Earle
All Along the Watchtower-Hendrix
Voodoo Child, Slight Return-SRV
The Party Never Ends-Robert Earl Keen
Good Morning Aztlan-Los Lobos
Turn It On, Turn I Up, Turn Me Loose-Dwight Yoakum
Superstition-SRV, live version of Stevie Wonder classic
Got Me Under Pressure-ZZ Top
Legs-ZZ Top
Roller Girl-Dire Straits
Sultans of Swing-Dire Straits
Splendid Isolation-Warren Zevon
Slow Turning-John Hiatt
Keep Your Hands to Yourself-Georgia Satellites
and more recently..
Well Enough Alone-Chevelle
Follow, and I Do-Breaking Benjamin
More Human than the Humanz-Rob Zombie

my vote for one of the top highway songs would have to
be Golden Earring's song "radar love" (the album
version, of course). that song has been responsible
for more than it's share of speeding tickets over the
past 30 years or so.

Today I might amend this list to substitute Steve Earle's acoustic
rocker, Billy and Bonnie, for Copperhead Road.
