Hi,

I've been thinking about the walk, and how it might have impacted
different people.

Over the year this year, Anoop and I are going to sit down together to
see if we can write some sort of book/article about the walk, and about
broader aspects we touched upon.

For example, one of the areas we had noticed, was the especial apathy
and lack of education about waste management. Its heartening to see
initiatives such as http://www.tidycity.org/ take place, in that
context.

On the other hand, there were so many other areas that we saw and
touched upon that we are not expert enough to comment about, at least
not without much study.

I have glanced through a few blogs that spoke about it during the time.

If there are others, i'd be grateful if someone could point it out to
me.

I'd also like to ask if any of you would be so kind as to write in (on
-list or privately ) about the freedom walk from your perspective.

Among other things, I'm curious to know:

- Your thoughts on the freedom walk itself, ie; as a concept. What were
these nutters trying to do ? Was it stupid ? Was it amazing ? What
could someone who did this sort of thing hope to achieve ? What were
their motives ? etc.

- Your actual experience, when you met us on the walk. How did you feel
? What did you think of the people who were walking ? If you walked,
yourself, what did you feel while you were walking ? Was there a
concise 'cause that you felt sympathy for ? Were you walking for free
software, or freedom, or just for fun, what ?....

- Your hopes for ventures such as this, and how you think it could have
been done better. How would you seek to make a change in Kerala and
India ? What are your thoughts on how to start ? What is the future ?
What lessons can be learned from the freedom walk ?

- Anything else you might want to add.

Later this year, I intend to spend a little bit of time updating the
website with the following:

- Practical tips for other people who want to do a walk like this across
Kerala ( with or without a cause ).
- A list of organisations which actively participated, and how to get in
touch with them.
- A forum/irc chat channel, where people with similar ideas are able to
hangout and build a community.

Thanks for your time, I really look forward to hearing from you.

looking at the current political scenario,
we don't have any political party which is honest, and which works for the greater common good.
all these political parties are hijacked by people with vested interests.
and we are being governed and the policies are being decided by these anti-social groups.
what do freedom walkers think about it.
