Health Equity Initiatives (HEI) is a Malaysian based organization that advances the right to health for marginalized communities. To this end, HEI implements an integrated mental health program that adopts a community based, participatory approach. The core of HEI’s program is community based interventions which engage closely with refugee community organizations to recruit and train community health workers (CHWs). The program includes mental health prevention and promotion, treatment, and rehabilitation.
Assistant Community Based Mental Health Coordinator
Responsibilities
· Implementing the training of Community Health Workers’ (CHWs) including liaison with community, assisting in the preparation of materials, coordination of logistics, and the evaluation of training monitoring and evaluation.
· Assisting in the implementation of the mental health promotion and screening activities among refugees.
· Assisting in the referral and case management activities of CHWs.
· Assisting in the development of all reports that need to be generated for the Community-based Mental Health Promotion and Screening Program.
Requirements:Passion to work with marginalized communities. Degree in Psychology preferred but not mandatory. Fresh Graduates welcome to apply
