KOMAS Fund Raising Dinner - “20 Years with the People”
Pusat KOMAS is 20 years old this
year and we will be celebrating it with all of you in our very first
fund raising dinner. The theme for the event is "20 Years with
the People”.
Pusat KOMAS have been working
with the indigenous community, urban poor squatter movement, and an
active advocate of democracy and human rights. We were also the first
to start a human rights film festival 10 years ago and brought it
mainstream in Malaysia.
For the past few years, KOMAS has been
struggling with limited funds to continue our work of advocating for
democracy & human rights in Malaysia. Despite this setback KOMAS
has never dwindled nor hesitated in our quest for democratic reforms
and improvement of human rights in this country. We have persevered
in carrying out our work with the same spirit and passion that was
there when KOMAS was founded.
The fund raising dinner will
help KOMAS raise very much needed funds to help us continue with this
work and especially to carry out crucial programmes such as the 10
year old FREEDOM FILM FESTIVAL which will be held once again this
year.
It is your commitment and
dedication that has sustained KOMAS spiritually and physically for
the last 20 years. we now hope for your continued support to KOMAS
especially in this time of need.

is advised that all tickets are collected from KOMAS office prior to
the event to avoid confusion and miscommunication at the event
itself. However, if you are not staying in KL or PJ at the time of
