Automatic substitutions:

Windows Media Player is your favourite player but you still cannot
play all files using it. Install this codec to have all supports for
windows media player. Install the full version to play all kinds of
files.

For Windows Vista:

(Because vista has unique problems playing videos it requires some
fixes and also codec installation which cannot be done manually it's
why I recommend vista codec package)

Manual substitutions:

To play unsupported windows media player requires filters and decoding
algorithms. You install codecs for particular file formats you enable
it to play that format.
Who only wants divx supports to play avi files use this (works for all
windows)
