We don't always go to "web-only" format on Fridays, but when we do we try to go big. While I've got your attention, some "pro tip" material ...

It's getting harder and harder to find content that isn't, to one degree or another, "paywalled" such that some or all readers get hit up to become paid subscribers if they want to read it. Fortunately, it's also apparently pretty hard to construct a really GOOD paywall. You may already have a browser or extension that cuts through many paywalls like a knife through butter so you don't even notice them. If not, and if you happen to hit a Rational Review News Digest / Freedom News Daily link that stops you in your tracks with GIMME MONEY demands, here are two things you can do (other than give them money, which isn't necessarily a bad idea if you like the content the site in question serves up!):

One is to copy the link and paste it into the "12ft Ladder" site -- https://12ft.io -- which bypasses a lot of paywalls using the Google crawler cache.

Another is to click on the "site info" doohickey at the left side of your browser's URL bar, clear any cookies your browser has stored for that site, and reload the page.
